The R&D project of Lyocell filaments set up.
Established in June 2020 with a registered capital of RMB 80 million, Zhejiang Huafeng Longcell Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. invested a fund of RMB 1.2 billion to construct a production line of lyocell filaments with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons.
Situated in Anji, Zhejiang Province with a beautiful environment and the hinterland of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, it has a total area of 120,000 m2 and a floor area of 70,000 m2.
“Huafeng Longcell” has inherited the fruit borne from ten years of technological efforts unremittingly dedicated by its own independent R & D entity “Nufiber Tech” and possessed more than 30 exclusive patents. In the future, the company will commit itself to manufacturing and sales & promotion of lyocell filament fibers as well as subsequent customer services in efforts to meet the strong demands for high-end fabrics of global leading consumers who advocate environmental protection.
“Longcell”, the first Chinese lyocell filament brand, made its global debut in the Yarn Expo Autumn 2017. This milestone spawned instant high attention across the textile industry and marked the launch of the first Chinese brand for lyocell filaments. It was achieved by the R & D team “Nufiber Tech” established in 2010 which enabled independent design and development of manufacturing processes and equipment —an unprecedented breakthrough in the domestic industry— by overcoming technological issues and barriers through ten years of unremitting and persistent efforts. With the above story behind its birth, “Longcell” was destined to be exceptional.
Exceptional identity was just a beginning and sustained efforts must be dedicated for future metamorphosis. Four years have passed since its debut and we might wonder what happened to it. From its promotional efforts and market popularity, we can see that the brand which received much spotlight has decided to keep a low profile. This is indeed greatly beneficial to the healthy growth of “Longcell” which is just a few miles away from being born.
As an emerging fiber in the market, “Longcell” has many opportunities but also faces severe challenges. Impeccable quality and good coordination with downstream applications are critical and essential and the prerequisites for its sustainable development. To this end, since the debut of “Longcell”, its R & D team has dedicated sustained efforts to improving product quality, completing three product updates. The brand has also established partnerships with downstream entities in development. Thus, the active engagement of multiple parties led to increasing maturity for “Longcell” applied technologies, laying a solid foundation for subsequent marketing efforts.
2020 was a year of drastic changes. Facing the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, the textile industry dedicated utmost efforts to resisting its tremendous impact and safeguarded the supply of key anti-pandemic materials. It steadily rebooted operation and catered to the national needs for pandemic control as well as economic and social development based on its strong industry and supply chains. This year plagued by the COVID-19 pandemic was also the tenth year since the foundation of “Longcell”, which would start a new chapter and wait for metamorphosis and new breakthroughs.
